Beijing, the capital of the People's Republic of China, is the political and cultural center of China, as well as an international metropolis. More than 3,000 years of history have left Beijing with many places of interest such as the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, and the Summer Palace. In addition, Beijing is surrounded by mountains on three sides and has abundant natural tourism resources. The temperate monsoon climate makes the four seasons in Beijing distinct. Every season you can find a suitable sightseeing in Beijing.
Conference participants who bear a foreign passport may need to apply for a Chinese visa to visit China, except those passport holders from Singapore, Brunei and Japan. Participants can apply for a visa at the Chinese embassy or consulate in the region where they live. To avoid any uncertainty, participants are advised to apply for the visa as early as possible, at least give one month in advance.
For most attendees, it is easier to apply for a Tourist ("L") visa, for which no invitation letter is required for the application.
